With 6 sites in Germany, 10 subsidiary companies in other countries and sales partners in the world’s leading nations, Winkhaus designs, manufactures and sells products and services for windows, doors and automation all over the globe. More than 2000 employees in Germany and abroad make a direct contribution to the company's success, derived from its activities all over the world. Approximately 40% of our employees work in Winkhaus subsidiaries outside Germany.
Incidentally, more than half of the total turnover of the Winkhaus Group now comes from outside Germany. The latest additions to the company, which include Winkhaus Turkey in the Turkish capital Istanbul, are evidence of our continued commitment to opening up international markets and getting even closer to our customers.

The story of the Group of companies.
In 2004, the Winkhaus Group celebrated its 150th anniversary. The family-owned company, with its headquarters at Telgte near Münster in Germany, can look back on a story full of tradition and success.
In 1854, the company's founder August Winkhaus opened an agency business selling hardware and specialising in padlocks. From these humble beginnings grew the multinational corporation which today employs approximately 2000 people all over the world in its three divisions: Doors, Windows and Automation.
